What's New on Broadway This Winter (2022 - 23)

Whether you prefer singing and dancing, comedy, intense drama, or dazzling visuals, there’s something for everyone on Broadway this winter. The season usually brings about a few more openings before “winter break” (January through March where few, if any, shows open). Nevertheless, the show must go on! Here are the new Broadway shows opening this winter 2022 - 2023.

Pictures from Home - Opens February 9, 2023 at Studio 54

Nathan Lane, Danny Burstein, and Zoë Wanamaker star in the Broadway premier of this portrait of a mother, father, and son. Adapted from the acclaimed memoir by photographer Larry Sultan, Pictures from Home is about the artistic and emotional relationship between the family alongside portraits and interviews.

A Doll’s House - Opens March 9, 2023 at Hudson Theatre

Henrik Ibsen’s 1879 three-act play comes to Broadway in this thrilling reinvention starring Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain. Chastain stars as Nora Helmer, a housewife who becomes disillusioned and dissatisfied with her husband and the male-dominated world she lives in.

Dancin’ - Opens March 19, 2023 at Music Box Theatre

The late choreographer Bob Fosse’s Broadway production returns in this reimagined 21st century rendition. Wayne Cilento (who starred in the original Broadway show) directs the 120-minute dance party for Fosse lovers and dance enthusiasts alike. Music includes tunes from Neil Diamond to George M. Cohan and everything in between.
