The 2018 NYC Half Marathon Course Brings Changes

Runners take note; this year’s NYC Half Marathon Course has changed!

The NYC Half is one of the most popular half marathons in the United States taking runners on an incredible 13.1-mile tour of the city, Filled with elites and professionals, as well as average runners that love the sport, this year's race takes place on March 18, 2018. Athletes from around the world travel to NYC to take part in this annual event.

New NYC Half Marathon Course for 2018 

Since the race began in 2006, it has always started in Central Park and finished in Lower Manhattan. This year ushers in a new course, which puts the start at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn and travels much of the former course in reverse, ending in Central Park. As a result of this change, the cap for runners has increased to 22,500, allowing for even more participants than ever before.

The United Airlines NYC Half Expo presented by New Balance takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Free to the public, the Expo is a great place to pick up running merchandise and souvenirs as well as seek advice from experts and professional runners.
