This year’s show, “The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle,” runs from February 7 through April 26 inside the garden’s iconic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. The immersive display transforms the conservatory into a creative tribute to New York City, where everyday urban scenes—such as subway stations, stoops, taxis, and bodegas—are reimagined with thousands of vibrant orchids from around the world.
Designed by floral artist Mr. Flower Fantastic, the exhibition blends nature and city life, highlighting both the global diversity of orchids and the surprising fact that some species even grow right here in New York State. Informational displays throughout the conservatory also share fascinating insights into orchid varieties, hybridization, and care.
